Scavenger Hunt - Lost

It's the turn of some lush electro pop now, with Scavenger Hunt delivering it to us for our Song Of The Day!

The duo from California recently posted their debut track 'Lost' online and it's certainly captured my attention. They're a little known duo for now, made up of dreamy vocallist Jill Lamoureux and producer Dan Mufson, with only 303 (well, 304 now, thank me later) fans on Facebook - but with 'Lost' beginning to do the rounds on blogs, we're sure that number is going to soar.

On the subject of 'Lost', it's very impressive stuff for a debut. It's not breaking electro pop boundaries, but it doesn't need to, it's got a fabulous melody throughout, a bouncing electronic sound throughout which really helps to bring a funky and cool feel to it and the vocals are fantastic. From the intro, you know that Mufson has an ear for a good melody. We're sent head first into a very effortlessly smooth chorus, where Lamoureux sings 'let's got lost!' - and it's easy to get lost in a track like this that gets you subconsciously foot tapping.

Artists like Scavenger Hunt, who are able to create fun and melodic electro-pop with ease, always seem to get better with each single. And with 'Lost' showing such promise, I'm definitely excited to see what they give us in the future.
