Laura Welsh - Undiscovered

Today, I'm going to buck the trend of seemingly only posting about Swedish artists (well, for now, Song Of The Day is from a Swede again) - it's the turn of a wonderful Brit.

Laura Welsh is the name of the artist in question today and she's certainly no new artists to my ears. Welsh, a London singer-songwriter, first came to my attention through the gorgeous ballad 'Ghosts'. It was so wonderfully raw, every little bit of emotion could be heard in her voice and the video that assisted it was equally perfect. She has been around since with tracks such as 'Unravel' and 'Cold Front', which picked up a bit more attention and continued her streak of fabulous songs. And now she's back with 'Undiscovered'... fear not, she certainly has not broke her streak.

Laura seemingly just knows exactly how to create a good track. We're able to hear Laura's vocals adapted to a more upbeat number here. It's definitely going to hear her vocals on top of something like this, as whilst in the past, her stunning ballads were the ones that captured my attention, this proves she's far from a "one trick pony" is we're to venture into X Factor-esque clichés for just a second. The production has a lot more feist, but still has the eery feel that is felt in many Laura Welsh tracks, particularly at the end when an almost mysterious 'oooh' lines the track.
