Vagueabonde - Our Love

Well... it's back to blogging for me, after not posting for about 2 months of a hectic lifestyle.

But what exactly has made me sit up and think 'well, this is pretty good'. The answer - Vagueabonde. This is usually the part where I offer you a bit of information about the artist, but there isn't actually much to find on the internet. She's 24, she's from Minneapolis, she's got a delicious electro-pop sound that always gets me rushing to my blog, and she is indeed blonde.

Now, onto the track that has got me excited... 'Our Love'. The track definitely has vibes of Sky Ferreira, Little Boots and various other females who are churning out fabulous electro-pop tracks like clockwork. The track begins with some chirpy synths which let you into the 'electro pop' sound instantly. The verse creates quite a dark feeling, and moves into the chorus with ease. There's a lovely breathlessness to Vagueabonde's voice, and the echoed effect placed on her chorus vocals help to create quite an intriguing & mysterious feel to the track.

Vagueabonde has such a soothing tone to her voice, which rests on an exciting yet slightly eery instrumental, with ease. The repeated chorus immediately worms it's way into your heads, with an assisting melodic synth pattern which she wails over at the end of the track.

She's certainly got the electro-pop sound down to a tee, and is already available for download - as part of her "222" EP which was released on April 1st. Yes, I really am on the ball as much as ever.
