Vanbot - Hold This Moment

I've said on several occasions on the site that Sweden does pop music better than almost anyone, people such as Frida Sundemo and Miriam Bryant recently being a testament to this theory. Vanbot is another to add to that list, as her newest, as she completely nails a euphoric electronic sound down to a tee.

As with a lot of music of this sort, it's easy to draw comparisons to Queen of Scandipop, Robyn, and Hold This Moment is very much something Robyn would do, but the production for this track is absolutely incredible, and betters much of Robyn's material for me personally.

The production is so punchy and powerful, with a melody that completely sticks in your head from the first listen. But, it's her vocals that really settle this track as being completely amazing. She mixes quite a tender feel in her voice due it's high pitch, but she certainly can belt out this track. She yelps, 'it's hard to make a stand', and the feeling can be heard in the strength of her call.


One of the best tracks we've heard in 2013 so far, incredibly euphoric and instant.
