A*M*E - Heartless

She had us playing the game, and playing the track over and over with Play The Game Boy, and A*M*E is back with another track!

Yes, that's right, A*M*E has premiered another track, the follow-up to the amazing Play The Game Boy - and it comes in the form of Heartless, which sees A*M*E join the dance-pop scene, as the track has a wonderfully anthemic breakdown.

Now, undoubtedly the track is a lot more generic from A*M*E, who whilst creating fun pop tracks in the past with Play The Game Boy and City Lights, always felt like she had her own individual stamp on every track she created. The cuteness of Play The Game Boy, and the infectious London accent that burst through every lyric of City Lights is what gave her a niche in the first place - something which this track seems to have separated her from.

Never the less, despite the slight shame in the change in sound and loss of her previous sound, we're absolutely LOVING Heartless, a track that will undoubtedly be stuck in my head for days, and see me abusing the play button in the same way many of her other tracks did. The Rami Yacoub (worked on Starships, Pound The Alarm and many of One Direction's album tracks) produced track sees A*M*E fit in effortlessly with the popular dance-pop song, with a catchy chorus line of 'don't you leave me in the darkness, now don't you be so heartless'.

And, we're also loving the soldier-esque middle 8 with the drums and what not - but all in all, while it's a shame to see A*M*E go down this route, this sounds like a smash in every sense of the word, and with promotion, we could definitely see this giving her a UK hit.
