VITA CHAMBERS - 'FIX YOU'

Vita Chambers is a Barbadian pop/RnB artist - who we haven't heard for a couple of years now!

Her track 'Young Money' was released way back in 2011, and was a very catchy Pop/RnB track, that came around the same time as catchy hooks from the likes of Kristinia DeBarge's 'Goodbye' - neither of which were massively successful, but both were absolutely superb. And, coming right at the end of December, Vita has released a new track which sees her turn to a dancier route, with 'Fix You'.

'Fix You' is very vocoder heavy (we wouldn't say so much autotune, as it's very obviously it's used for an effect). The track takes a while to build into it's euphoric nature - 1:18 is the specific timing of which we really hit the rave moment we were waiting for, but the previous 87 seconds leading up to the breakdown were also quite fabulous. The track is very electronic in the choruses, with David Guetta-esque beeps and sound effects coating Vita's soft vocals. But, leading up to the breakdown, we see Vita really belt out the lyrics.

And, if it wasn't enough, the second breakdown is a bit of a 'kitchen sink' moment - we get a 'We Found Love' build-up, a not so euphoric breakdown for a couple of seconds which is quite misleading, and also some womptastic dubstep touches. The track ends with a bang, as Vita sings over the anthemic instrumental section, and finally yelps in quite a raspy fashion, 'let me fix you'. We only heard it a matter of hours ago, and we're already wracking up an impressive amount of listens - it's been a fair wait for more from Vita Chambers, but we think it's worth the wait.

Put your rave boots on, it's time for 'Fix You' - not to be confused with the Coldplay track of a much more mellow tone. Much much more.
